OPAL

OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) at Sutton V.A. Primary is an exciting programme that helps children enjoy purposeful outdoor play every day. This page shares an update on what OPAL team members have created to support safe, engaging and imaginative play for primary age children across our school. We are always looking for new ideas that encourage teamwork, curiosity and confidence in the outdoors.

Our OPAL team members have been busy creating new play opportunities and improving the outdoor environment so that every child can find something they enjoy. From fresh resources and activity ideas to thoughtful enhancements to how outdoor areas are set up, the team’s work is designed to help children stay active, explore different roles and build positive friendships. We are proud of the creativity and care that goes into each improvement.
